Description
One day in September, the patient woke up feeling extremely tired and weak, and this feeling persisted throughout the day. Despite her fatigue, she was unable to fall asleep the following night and only managed to get some sleep in the early hours of the morning. When she woke up, she felt nauseous, her stool became increasingly diarrhea-like, her blood pressure rose, and she felt worse and worse. In the evening, she had an overwhelming attack. Her heart was racing, her systolic blood pressure rose to over 190, her whole body was shaking, and she panicked. She later reported reflux and pain in her stomach/esophagus. She was taken to the hospital, where nothing could be found except for her still elevated blood pressure. In the following days, her blood pressure remained slightly elevated, but the diarrhea and vomiting subsided, and five days later she was healthy again.
What had happened?
In the spring of that year, she had problems with her dentures, which she had had for years, so she went to see her dentist. He told her that she needed new dentures. In April, she had an appointment to get her new dentures, and to her horror, she realized that they didn't fit properly. The dentist told her that they were fine and couldn't be improved. He told her to stop making such a fuss and just live with them. This caused her an indigestible anger-conflict, affecting her intestines. In her search for solutions, she had a heated argument with her son, who wanted to dictate how she should proceed. This led to a mother/child conflict of excessive demands, affecting her right heart muscle. She felt overwhelmed by the situation and wanted to please her son.
She subsequently found a good dentist who assured her that the dentures were poorly made and that there was definitely a better solution. In all the weeks up to that point and even afterwards, she was in active conflict because she had constant difficulties eating, and the dentures sometimes even fell out when she laughed and so on. Two days before the final appointment with the new dentist, where the new dentures were to be “fitted,” she realized that this very stressful phase was now over, and she was full of joyful anticipation. This represented the resolution of her conflict, and the various SBSs were resolved. The most noticeable of these was clearly the epi crisis with the myocardial infarction.
Note: The reflux and the unpleasant feeling in her stomach and esophagus (which is why she did not want to eat anything) affected the active phase of the SBS of the stomach lining (“territorial anger-conflict”). This SBS was triggered by the epi crisis of the myocardial infarction, as she had become fearful and panicked about her physical integrity due to her rapid heartbeat and high blood pressure. These symptoms disappeared immediately when her blood pressure returned to normal.
Note: Have you also had exciting experiences with the 5BL? If so, it would be great if you could send us an anonymized report so that we can publish it in the archive and everyone can benefit from your experiences. Thank you very much!
